Tessel

abstract

Hors les Murs exhibition at the Musée des Moulages (Université Lumière Lyon 2), from 8 June to 13 July 2011

To coincide with this exhibition, Galerie Roger Tator is moving to the Musée des Moulages to present the kinetic and sound installation Tessel. At the same time, the gallery is hosting an exhibition devoted to the genesis of the project.

The Tessel installation, which explores the perception of sound and space, is the fruit of a collaboration between French artist and musician David Letellier and the Belgian electronic art studio LAb(au). Reminiscent of the poetic machines of Tinguely, the mobiles of Alexandre Calder and the structures of Buckminster Fuller, Tessel makes use of time and movement, continuing a line of research into the synaesthetic perception of spatial and sonic phenomena.

Tessel is co-produced by the Mediariumte (Brussels) and Roger Tator (Lyon) galleries, with the support of Arcadi, Dicréam and the Commission des Arts numériques de la Communauté Française de Belgique.
