The artwork confronts the viewer with the infinite string of Pi decimals scrolling over a split-flap display. Its sequence is so far one of the only truly random sequences we know that contains all the possible number combinations, and as such is the description of the whole universe. With the speed at which the numbers are scrolling along the display, it will take 3600 years to show all the calculated digits of Pi, so far. Firstly these random numbers are translated into characters, then they are analysed according to the possible formation of words, piling up along the installation. This eternal calculation process of Pi becomes the origin of an autopoïetic poetry, a follow-up of associations that is an attempt to decode the secret pattern of the universe.
