about
Languages unite us, but sometimes their diversity divides us, and there are universal languages, including those of the arts and sciences. the arts and sciences. It is interesting to note that ideas, with the avant-garde of the last century, began to predominate over images, sometimes to the point where words alone are used as works of art. The exhibition is packed with works in a wide variety of forms from here and elsewhere, examining the uses of language or languages at the service of the imaginary. Modes of transmission, such as Morse code or radio, are not left out, with artists using adventurous practices, going so far as to focus on the means of communication between species. There are also books, among other content and trends from the Internet, not forgetting the essential role played by algorithms in contemporary creation. And what all the works in this exhibition have in common: they can all be seen as entrances to our collective imagination at the crossroads of art and knowledge.
Dominique Moulon is the guest curator. Holder of a D. in Arts and Sciences of Art and an expert in digital cultures, Dominique Moulon is an art critic and curator.
