The binary code of the commonly known 256 color value system of computer screens is decoded into letters and numbers to search for what the blue color may tell us.

The artwork transcribes the anthropomorphic flag alphabet of the semaphore into geometric shapes, subdivided into eight kinetic elements. Their motion follows this binary logic, displaying randomly all of its 17.210.368 combinations, which would take more than 11 years of continuous viewing.

A selection of anagrams of colour names resulting in colour names creates a new reading of colours and their possible meanings. What is primarily derived from language places colour at the very centre of the artwork, becoming a vehicle for a colour philosophy, where colour is an epistolgy of language.

Transcoding the flag alphabet, the semaphore, into a binary geometric pattern. Based on this logic, the sorting of all possible combinations of five letters becomes a woven dictionary where its geometrique pattern follows language rules. Here geometry is language.
